Worship

We have had consistent Spanish worship services in the Mesa area for over three years. Although some believe ours is a traditional Lutheran worship service, we strive to incorporate culturally relevant elements. The music is simple and acoustic, the sermons speak to the realities of the Latino community in Mesa, and the tangible elements in worship are familiar. We sing together, laugh together and pray together.

We strive to be a church family, sharing in one another's joys and sorrows and welcoming participation in every aspect of worship, especially from our little ones. Many of our families bring friends and relatives that have felt marginalized by the Church in the past, but here they feel welcomed and included just as they are. We have a little saying here at La Primera, "the Grace of God will not be denied to anyone."
